This May, the spirit of the Irish fleadh arrives in Sydney as The Rocks transforms for a weekend dedicated to trad music, storytelling, and celebration.

From 22–24 May, musicians from across the community will gather throughout The Rocks for Fleadh Cheoil Sydney, bringing the energy of Ireland’s beloved music tradition to the heart of the city.

Across the weekend, Frank Mac’s and The Doss House will host a flowing lineup of Irish trad sessions, welcoming both seasoned players and first-time listeners into the music. Expect packed sessions, lively tunes, pints flowing, and the kind of atmosphere where strangers quickly become part of the session.

Inspired by the fleadhs of Ireland, the weekend is all about community, connection, and keeping traditional music alive, right here in Sydney.

Whether you’re stopping in for a drink and a tune or spending the whole weekend following the sessions through The Rocks, Fleadh Cheoil Sydney invites everyone to be part of the celebration.

Musicians are encouraged to bring their instruments and join in throughout the weekend.
